Autumn Term

Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Lunch

Christmas Jumper Day was another very successful fundraising event for our school council. Money raised on the day for Save the Children totalled £376.40. Thank you to everyone who donated.

Thank you to Pabulum and all our school staff who helped prepare and serve Christmas lunch. The children enjoyed Christmas music, crackers and a turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

Star Author

It was very exciting to welcome Ross Montgomery, an award winning children’s author, to the school on Monday.

During his visit, Ross shared an extract from his new novel , The Chime Seekers, with our year 5 and 6 children.  Ross shared his passion for writing spooky stories by working with the children to create a fantastical, chilling version of Hamstel Junior School.

Children in Need 2021

Our school council did a fantastic job of raising money for Children in Need. They sold Fun Booklets and competition sheets to raise money as well as specially made Children in Need biscuits.

Thank you to everyone who donated.

Odd Socks Day

As part of anti-bullying week, the children and staff wore odd socks on Monday 15th November to celebrate how unique we all are.

The children learnt about what constitutes bullying and how, by standing together, we can help to tackle all forms of bullying.

This year's theme was 'One Kind Word'
